I'm very sad about this place. We went twice, the first time we had terrible service for the whole meal. The waitress was slow, and didn't really seem to care about our wait, they weren't busy (at all). She sold me on their grilled Caesar salad - disgusting. Grill lettuce? What on earth were they (or me thinking)! We decided to go again last night to give them another chance. It's a new restaurant and we didn't want to be so critical, plus we really don't like to see people fail. Well, it started off with the hostess talking to us while playing with her lip, so we couldn't really understand her. That was annoying. Then she wanted to seat us at one of their high top tables (I was carrying a toddler on my hip... Not sure how he'd reach the table from his high chair.... Our waiter was very friendly, pleasant and quick to greet us. The food, not so good. I'm not sure what they cook together, but my "tiger burger" (10% goes to battleground HS) tasted like fish. No joke. The fries were hollow, so I'm not sure what was going on there. Unfortunately, we won't be back. I'm sad to say that, I was really hoping they'd make it.

I picked this place because of a Groupon special, $10 for $25 Sun-Thursday & the reviews on here. SO disappointed overall. Server was so nice, attentive & quick. Groupon said reservations required, so I called & made one in early afternoon for 5:30pm(Monday), they didn't have it down when we got there, still seated. Clean & nice decorations. Hubby ordered a Gin n tonic, it was flat, server traded him for a Corona. I ordered Strawberry Lemonade, I liked it but A LOT of strawberry added very sweet, over powers lemonade taste. Started with Coconut Prawns, ($5.75) they were little in size & over cooked but tasted okay. We like to share meals. We decided to order two different burgers to share. Black n blue burger,($13) over salted & cheap bun, greesy. Pepperjack Burger ($13) again cheap bun, greesy. Cajun tots weren't Cajuny at all, fries were not as fresh. Overall the whole meal was not desirable to us, not worth $43 before Groupon credit.

Disappointed!!! Rarely do we go out to dinner. It was my birthday and my husband suggested dinner at South Pacific Cafe. He ordered a pizza (large so we could take some home). I ordered a steak with shrimp, scallops and garlic sauce. It includes vegetable and Cajun Tots with a dinner salad. I ordered the steak rare. When it arrived, the first thing I noticed was the broccoli was only a little warmer than room temperature. The tots were so-so warm but the steak was raw - no rare and almost room temperature. I tried not to complain but this just isn't right. I never send food back. But, I had to. The waitress was willing to have it "fixed"... pretty much heating it up. But, my husband was already chowing down. In the end, I told her I'd just have pizza with him. It was ok. But, I realized when I got home; I never did get a salad. So disappointing. You always hear horror stories about people sending food back and what the cooks might do to it should you complain. So, I went without my cold-raw-steak. The waitress said it was the 2nd time that night this had happened.

This is our second time here and the food is great. We had the fish tacos and my wife and I both loved them. The staff is friendly and the service was fast. Next time we'll try their pizza.

Excellent food!! We all switched meals half way through, just to try all the different flavors, we love love love this restaurant!!!

I ate here the other night and it was good. The Thai peanut lettuce wraps were not the best but they were ok. The server was friendly and the atmosphere was inviting but a little claustrophobic. Overall a nice place to eat.

A friend and I dined at South Pacific a few Saturdays ago. We were pleasantly surprised. The food was good although the chicken on the Nachos was cold, but the server immediately corrected it for us. Apparently, the chicken is always cold but if you order it warm, it will be. We also shared the fish tacos. I prefer not to have my fish battered and deep fried, but they were delicious. The service was good and the atmosphere very down to earth. I am excited as the owner is opening a second restaurant downtown Vancouver (next to the corner of 11th & Washington). The building I work in is right next door and I am looking forward to having lunch there and Happy Hour after work. And BTW, Happy Hour prices are all day long and are very reasonable.

What a great place! The food is well prepared and delicious with original twists on many of the items and the prices were reasonable. The service was friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was relaxed and fun. We truly enjoyed our visit to South Pacific and will definitely be back.

Technically, my rating is more like a 2.5. My first impression of the place was not great. It seems they could really benefit from the help of a professional designer. A lot of the decorations, plantings, furniture and fixtures were all pretty random and did not seem to go together. The ambiance was not great. Our server was nice but she seemed a little scattered. We had ordered some focaccia bread with alfredo sauce as an appetizer, but it took a long time to come out; arrived just a few minutes before our meal. The bread and the sauce tasted great though. Both my wife and I had ordered burgers and the taste was good, but it was almost too much beef. They said the patties were only a third a pound of beef, but ours were probably a half a pound. It's nice to know they aren't skimping you, but it made for a very thick, and pink, burger. Their beer-battered fries were excellent, especially in the alfredo sauce. I was full for the rest of the day (we went for lunch). I appreciated that some of their menu items had a portion of the proceeds going to the local schools. Overall, the food was pretty good, but the service, including wait time, and the atmosphere were a little sub par.

Food was good. We ordered the chopped salad, Thai chicken lettuce wraps, cod fish tacos, &the Tiger steak. The chicken was served cold, which was odd, and it was very spicy. The fish tacos were really good! Unfortunately the steak, while cooked to order, was tough. Overall the experience was good but not great. Our server was friendly, & corrected any issues we brought up. Only other complaint was the vacuum being run in the next room. Kind of unprofessional. We'll be back, but I can't list this as one of my favorite places.

My husband and I visited this restaurant on a Thursday evening around 5pm. We ordered calamari as an appetizer and it was okay. We ordered our main course and first received a salad with 1000 island dressing. The lettuce was smashed down and wilted and the dressing had a "bite" to it, not good. We then received our Fish and Chips (fries were cold, fish was greasy). We asked for regular tartar sauce and were told by our server they didn't have any except for the chipotle tartar. I then asked if they had cocktail sauce and/or could they make us some (ketchup/horseradish) .. she said they were unable to do so. Unable to eat our fish without tartar sauce, we asked for boxes and our bill. Waitress didn't ask how our meals were and didn't seem concerned that we were unhappy. We came home and my husband called to speak with a manager, the girl answering the phone said just a minute, did not put the phone on hold and he was able to hear them speaking. The waitress told someone "They want to speak with a manager" .. and he heard the reply .. "depends on who it is, I'm busy" .. the girl came back on the phone and said manager was too busy to come to phone right now. Husband then asked the name of the manager and he would call tomorrow. The reply he received was "it depends on what day of the week and when you call .. the managers change daily". He hung up the phone. We will not be returning to this establishment and will not recommend it to ANYONE.

I was expecting more Hawaiian/Pacific Rim items on the menu but they do have a few entree's with coconut and teriyaki and a few with an Asian flair to them. The menu is diverse with gourmet burgers and pizzas. Various steak and seafood dishes are available as well. This was my first trip so I thought I'd try some appetizers. They have an all day Happy Hour Menu which is a neat idea! I had the Pulled Pork Nachos and the Pulled Pork Sliders. I have to admit that both were very good. The Nachos could have been heated a bit longer. The cheese wasn't completely melted and the pork was a wee bit cool in the middle. That's an easy fix... All in all the nacho plate was very nicely presented, garnished with marinaded grape tomatoes, dollops of sour cream and guacamole on top of multi-colored chips and tasty black beans. The marinaded grape tomatoes are KILLER! The Pulled Pork Sliders were "spot on!" Succulent pulled pork with a easy light sauce that didn't over power the flavor of the pork along with a nice slaw and mandarin orange slices that made this a very flavorful and satisfying appetizer. Between the two items I was very full so and entree will be on the next visit. Friendly service and Kevin Taylor a partner in the restaurant is a really nice dude! I love Reggae music but more South Pacific tunes guys! I guess a little Jawaiian music is okay... Ha! Worth a trip out of PDX or the Couv... Oh I saw some of the entree's come out of the kitchen folks and they look very onolicious! Bacon Wrapped Prawns looked amazing! Mahalo nui loa South Pacific Cafe & Lounge! I'll be back!

Great happy hour, great food, our server Keno was awesome! My only suggestion would be to change the 70's & 80's Pandora station to some more mellow island music. I could feel like I was back in Maui if there wasn't a Motley Crue song playing in the back ground... Just sayin.

Bad service, bad food. My wife our two kids and I arrived to wait at the entry for a solid 10 minutes while what seemed like every person in the restaurant said they would be right with us. When we finally sat down we ordered our drinks and had to wait, longer than anybody should to get drinks only to find out we would continue to wait for water. Jayme our server was nice enough I suppose, although she was pretty bad at serving, making sure we were happy or doing anything that all the other servers were doing. My wife ordered coconut prawns I had surf and turf and upgraded my fires to the garlic fries that I read rave reviews here on yelp. We waited an hour after ordering to get our food while our empty drink cups sat on the edge of the table. We watched a few other larger parties arrive after us and all receive their meals before us. At this point I was disappointed, our food finally arrived ...we'll sort of. One of our kids ordered pulled pork sliders and they arrived with coleslaw on it which is fine but nowhere ever on the menu did it say that because how many kids like coleslaw. We would have taken the coleslaw off but when we started to we found the buns to be mush, just completely soaked like they had been sitting for a while...which makes sense. So we sent them back. Our other child ordered a side of rice which upon ordering Jamie said "fries?" And we said no RICE..well out came fries and no rice. She also had chicken Alfredo which ended up being what everybody ate. My wife's and my meals came out. The "veggies" as the menu says was some cold sorry looking broccoli, her coconut prawns were ok and the sauce they came with looked like a mixture of jam and hot sauce. Surf and turf was ok, my steak came as ordered but I was let down with these "amazing" garlic fries I had read so much. Luckily for us we had a gift certificate because I would never, ever pay to eat here .

We were in town for work and decided to give it a try. The spicy peanut wings were delicious. The black n bleu salad had perfectly seasoned steak. We ordered drinks off menu and they were great. We will be back and will direct others to this small, hidden gem. The service was friendly and fast. Loved the whole experience.

A couple of friends and I decided to stop in a few nights ago for dinner. Though it was busy, we were seated pretty quickly and given menus right away. To be honest, the menu is so large and overwhelming that I honestly didn't read the whole thing, rather grazed it quickly as there were probably more than 60 items. With so many options at such a small establishment, it's highly unlikely that the kitchen will be able to stock and maintain fresh ingredients for everything. So it really should not have come as such a surprise to me when I ordered the Thai Chicken Lettuce Wraps and the junk I got served was straight out of the package. I'm not sure if it was canned chicken or just that pre-cooked nonsense from the lunch meat isle, but it definitely hadn't resembled legitimate chicken in a long while. To make matters worse, the other predominant component of the filling was huge chunks of raw red onion. We quickly abandoned them. Thankfully, the rest of the meal gradually got better. My wedge salad wasn't anything special, but there was nothing particularly offensive about it; I would have preferred to have some actual blue cheese crumbles somewhere on the salad rather than just a generic blue cheese dressing. We each tried a bite of one of my friend's pizza and agreed that it was really good. The waitress had suggested she try the SXSW: Spicy chipotle cream sauce topped with grilled chicken, bacon, green onion, cilantro, cheddar jack cheese and chipotle ranch. The pizza was cooked perfectly and was the definite winner that night. Though the restaurant was busy, our waitress was fantastic and the main reason I pushed the rating to a 3. She was really friendly and helpful without being intrusive. Parking was less than stellar as it's a really small lot. Quite a few people were parking down the neighboring streets. I would be glad to order a takeout pizza here in the future but I probably won't be dining off the rest of the menu again.

This place is amazing!! Their beer bettered fries are just the best ever!! I could eat them for days!!

  • Dustin M.

Nice looking place. Some of the staff are not too friendly. The fish tacos were ok, they would be better if they weren't deep fried. Their prices are way to high for the food they are providing. I recommend just trying somewhere else.

We were regular customers for quite a long time, but then the food and the service went downhill. Given how much we'd liked the place (and the food) before, we continued to patronize them hoping for a return to the original quality and service, but when for at least the 10th time our meal was of poor quality, we have decided it's time to look elsewhere. The salad is often not as fresh as one would like, the steaks, at times, have obviously been cooked directly from frozen, (burnt on the outside, rare throughout inside) and the portions are inconsistent from visit to visit.

Best food I've had since moving to Washington! Incredible flavor and a good variety of choices. I have to knock a point off for the painfully slow service. Our server was nice, but there was at least 30 minutes of unnecessary wait time. Our whole meal came to an hour and 45 minutes, which is a really long time for my 3 year old daughter. And it was just the two of us. No appetizer. No desert. I probably would have knocked more stars off if I had written this the day of our visit. The food is definitely worth trying... if you've got the time!

Ok so I gotta agree with the other reviewers.. the decor is a bit crazy. I reckon it's tough to be too specialized in a small town like Battle Ground though, so I can empathize. I've only been here once but here's what I found. Pizza was a solid 4 stars. I'd order it again. Prawn skewers were pretty tasty but a bit small in size. The place did look clean though and I couldn't find a dirty table. The wait staff were as good as it gets. Very friendly, very helpful, and very on top of making sure we were taken care of.

My medium steak was tough. The side of garlic focaccia bread was stale and the broccoli was very salty. My cocktail had a swig of drink and the rest was ice. Not going back. Disappointing 20 dollar dinner.

We went in again last night, after learning the rude server was terminated the night of our last visit. We got Stephanie last night. I wish we had a server like that every where we went. Nice, knowledgable, accommodating, paid attention to detail and was pretty sweet to my wife. Food was great, as it normally is and when we paid we got a huge portion off for our last visit. Glad we went back. We will go back again soon.

The food is amazing! Reasonably priced. Great service. The place is a bit small and is packed solid on weekends (Battleground location). There are always Groupons available for both locations. Vancouver and Battleground. I recommend Battleground location the food is better. If you love food you must try this place. Drooool.

This was hands down the worst meal I've ever had. Seriously. My whole family ordered various pasta dishes and they all sucked. The bread was stale tasting along with my Alfredo (not sure how that works) The service was slow and my order was wrong. The waitress fixed it for me with a $5 discount but then took it away when I gave her my yelp coupon I bought... Huh?! Please just trust me for the love of God DO NOT order the pasta!

I went here on a busy Wednesday night with a couple of friends. I was in the mood for pizza and I asked our waitress if she tried the chicken Thai pizza, she said she hasn't but her favorite pizza was the SXSW. She totally sold it to me so I gave it a try. I was definitely not disappointed, it is one of the best pizzas I've ever tasted. Everyone I shared it with agreed too. The crust on the pizza was like bread very flavorful. The description speaks for itself: Spicy chipotle cream sauce topped with grilled chicken, bacon, green onion, cilantro, cheddar jack cheese and chipotle ranch. I will be back for sure!

I base most of my review on service and experience. It was incredibly hot in the restaurant and the waitress was very rude and un attending and the decor is odd. The happy hour food selection, prices and taste was good though.

  • Katie S.

I honestly don't know why people have rated this place so generously. I go back for the fish tacos and select menu items, but other than that this place isn't that great. My biggest issue is the decor - it is super confusing. The wait staff is usually fairly inattentive and lacking in customer service. It's small and usually packed. If it wasn't close to home, I wouldn't make the drive.

  • Holly M.

DELICIOUS food. All day happy hour appetizers and unique menu items. Not so unique it cannot be pronounced or de-Matrix-ed, but unique enough to say "I will have the pulled pork sliders, because im pretty sure unless I pull my crockpot out of my lazy exile, I will never see this again" uniqueness. The garlic fries were both perfectly rich in flavor and had the bonus of green onions and fresh soft slivers of (I assume) motz or Parmesan, I would have ordered 3 family sizes to last me all weekend :) Service was fast, prices were decent. If I could leave one comment that is constructive, maybe a change up of the menu items and prices adjusted based on quantity of item being consistent and fair. Keep up the good work, guys!

This has become one of our favorite places to dine. Service is great, Olivia was friendly, made suggestions, and was an attentive server. The blackened chicken fettuccine is one of our favorites along with the to die for garlic fries! You won't be disappointed. If I have any suggestions it's that they seem to have a hostess only sporadically. Someone should be the designated greeter each night, as otherwise the appearance is that they are understaffed.

Hit and miss. Half the time it is great food and great service and half the time the opposite. I hear a lot of excuses that were "short staffed" must be lots of turnover. I'm sure we'll give it a whirl again because my hubby loves their Cajun tots.

  • Slinky B.

I love this place. It's walking distance..great casual atmosphere and just as great food and drinks. Sometimes it's a bit slow..but that's ok, as I generally have a drink to appreciate. They do a lot of Groupon specials and I always get them when I can, lol.

We had our first visit to the South Pacific Cafe today. We arrived at 3:30 PM and we were the first patrons in. Our server, Lizabell, was able to seat us immediately (of course) and, with a warm smile, welcomed us and took our drink orders. My spouse ordered a Pulled Pork sandwich with battered fries, and I had the New York Peppercorn steak, garlic mashed potatoes, garlic toast, an interesting vegetable that I could not identify (but it tasted of asparagus... Very good) and a. Green salad with blue cheese. The food was not just good...it was exceptional! Lizabell checked in frequently and was enjoyably pleasant and informative. Overall, at this time of day, it was quiet and conversation at the table was easy. Next time we'll try later in the evening, just for the comparison. The food was great, the service better than good. We were pleased and will return.

fantastic place for families, date night, or a place to gather with friends in the bar for drinks and food. The food is really tasty (the pizza is the best) and the staff are always friendly. A little on the pricey side, but well worth it.

the food was good although the portions are small. I ordered the coconut shrimp and it did not look like the picture. They were very small and looked and tasted like the frozen ones you buy at the store. The salad was all of 5 bites and the prices are high. They have happy hour all day but you would have to order 5 items or you would still be hungry and i am not over weight..

Service (the bar is better than general seating) is consistently good, menu has a ton of choices to pick from, so far all very good. My husband and I are still working our way through the menu after multiple visits. We have yet to be disappointed. Will return and recommend!

Went to dinner here on a Groupon. I thought prices were fair and food was fantastic. Decor could use a little face lift, and wait staff seemed to be fairly casual, which can be interpreted as not very attentive...overall I would recommend and would return because the food was so good.

I have been here twice and can say I wasn't impressed either time. The second time was to give it a second chance. On Valentine's Day we ordered the shrimp cocktail, it was so unbelievably salty we had to send it back, and we love salt. It was the worst I have ever had! We sent it back and not one word from the kitchen, a manager, or even the waitress. She just took it and said "oh, hmmm, ok". Which was odd because it was clear something happened to it...something bad. We also ordered the seafood pasta, the cream sauce tasted good, but was very runny and with very little seafood. The one good thing was the Caesar salad, which was excellent. The service was poor, and there was little care about being pleased with the service. We will never go back.

So just finished eating...had garlic fries...they were delicious, but if you are not a fan of garlic you may want to pass... We had the fondue which was much better than Reinlander's... Also we had the pulled pork sandwich which was amazing!!! (Garlic fries came with this for a little extra) We also since we were getting our fat girl on order loaded tots which were also great!!! We are taking to go boxes lol. For drinks we had South Pacific Breeze's and they were tasty, but not much alcohol. Billy and Keira sat us and waited on us and they were both amazing!!!! We were disappointed that the Vancouver location had closed, but overall great job!!!

We went with a coupon on a Tue. at 8pm for a date night, and were seated promptly. The atmosphere was island eclectic and nice, and our server was attentive and funny. We were served promptly, and I can highly recommend almost every item we ordered, including the fondue, wedge salad, SXSW pizza, and steak with mushrooms. The portions were generous, and the "personal" pizza really was--as the server said--"personal plus a friend." The jagermeister sauce on the steak was an unusual but wonderful twist, and bites were shared. The only thing I'm less than 100% on was the bacon caramel sundae my fiance and I shared. They were out of the peanut butter pie--our first choice--so we decided to be adventurous. It would have been an excellent waffle topping for breakfast, but I wouldn't do it again for dessert.

We was here for dinner and I liked that place... First of our waitress was extremely friendly and funny... They have happy hour all day so we took some appetizer from the happy hour menu and I was really impressed about the cheese fondue... I had the seafood fettuccine and it was reeeeaaaalllyyyy good... Everything was good and I would come back...

Review in a nutshell: The staff is friendly, the food is excellent, and I like the atmosphere. To expand on that a little, I'm addicted to their pizzas. The burgers are great! The beer is cheap, but the pizza. Holy crap. I especially enjoy the South P or SxSW. Excellent portion sizes for the price.

Great pizza and sandwiches. This place is a must try in battleground. Wish they still had the one in vancouver.

We came here on the recommendation of a friend. The service was OK, and the food was presented well and delicious. The atmosphere was horrible I thought I was at McDonalds play land. You would think an establishment that boast a Rum Bar would have an area for families with kids or parents with kids would hire a babysitter! Through the meal I listened to moms disciplining their kids, kids coughing, whinnying and yelling- the mom behind me just yelled stop to one if her kids. Food gets 5 stars Atmosphere 1 stars Equals 3 Stars I will definitely come back again but next time I will be eating in the Bar so I can enjoy my meal !!!!

Battle Ground Washington is one of those places people try to escape ... instead of visit ... so, having a restaurant and bar with a South Pacific theme to get away for a couple hours on Main Street makes total sense ... especially with Happy Hour all day long. Drink your sorrows away ... The biggest detour from our happy excursion was that the bar was understaffed. It took 22 minutes to get a beer and 46 minutes before food arrived. Don't they understand I'm in need of libation liberation ... stat! Luckily, the bartender was a total charmer, but I would of loved her more if she wasn't so busy serving the packed bar and making drinks for the entire restaurant by herself. The all-day Happy Hour Beer was Fire Rock and the Cocktail was a Blueberi Kazi. I had one of each and then stuck with the beer for the rest of our liquid tour from reality. Along the way, Olivia Z. and me split the following pub grub. * Fondue with Zenner's Spicy Italian Sausage ($6.95) How can I resist anything that touts six different Cheese, Chipotle Ale, and Chipotle Peppers? Well, I can't even though the thick cheese didn't turn out be spicy at all. The Focaccia Bread as ok. The Sausage was better. Eat quickly because it cools off fast. (4 stars) * Garlic Fries ($3.95) The bowl of semi-warm French Fries tossed with Garlic Butter, Garlic, Scallions, and shaved Cheese sounded a lot more yummy on the menu than it actually tasted. I doubt I'd get the fries again. (2 stars) * Blue Wedge Salad ($5.95) It's an Iceberg Wedge Salad topped with Blue Cheese Crumbles, Egg, Bacon, and Tomato with Blue Cheese Dressing. No need to over think this. It's simple. You want it. (4 stars) * Steamer Clams ($11.50) The light Black Butter Broth with Bacon, Tomato, and Green Onions should of had more flavor than it did. Both of us were a little underwhelmed with the bowl of clams. (3 stars) * The South P Pizza ($9.95) Plus one star for originality and the creamy Garlic Sriracha Sauce. The mix of Chicken, Bacon, Pineapple, and Cilantro with Chipotle Sauce served as a good reminder that we weren't in Battle Ground anymore. (4 stars) The food was ok. The drinks were drinks. We escaped Battle Ground for a couple hours to the South Pacific. If management steps up to staff more servers and bartenders during busy periods, we'll become regulars for happy hour trips in the future.

Amazing food! Jager Steak and Prawns is amazing! Burgers are great too. Wish you guys still had the Chicken Taco Pizza with Avocado, it was Amazing, with your house made ranch, drizzled on it. We use to come back here just for that for that, from Bend Oregon. Nothing we have eaten in Central Oregon compares to your guys food. We miss u!

I'm giving them 5 stars because Billy the manager is awesome. I bought two pizza's last night and drove it up to my home up in the Battle Ground hills. I had 4 over for dinner. We all loved the meat pizza but the Thai pizza was not good. None of us liked it but we were hungry so we ate it anyways. Billy the manager has offered me full compensation for the Thai pizza. Now that's what I call excellent customer service. I do have to add the grilled ceasar salad and the seafood fettuchini are awesome. My favorite dishes. Sorry I can't seem to spell. Highly recommend this place.

Love this place. Great menu with lots of choices. The quality of the food is very good, and we love the margarita's. It's turned out to be our go-to when we are in Battleground.

My family and I have given the place two visits. One when they first opened and then another a couple days ago. Both times were simply average. Nothing really stands out about the place. I will say this. Our waitress was amazing (did not get her name...my bad) but the food was average, the decor is ok. I guess I have to say I was hoping for more. Nothing bad to say about the joint but nothing great to say as well.

Great place for dinner! I've been here a couple times with my family and will be coming back! Everything on the menu is great to eat and reasonable priced. My personal fav is the carnivore personal pizza!

One of the better restaurants in Battle Ground for sure. I love their steak and blue cheese salad and the bandanas foster is great- when the right cook is making it. Most of the time their food is on point, but a few times we have gone there (seems like Sundays) and the food has been not good at all. If their consistency between cooks was better I would give another star.

I love the happy hour menu here just ordered some fish tacos, kalamari and chicken strips for the kiddo service was amazing, the special- cocktail was unexpectedly perfect. Not sure who the amazing bartender was excellent server was Liz... I don't rave about a place unless I love the food service and price... But this place brought their A game with food service and price, will definitely return again and recommend to my friends!

Quirky decor, awesome staff. tasty drinks and a rather diverse menu. I was skeptical with such a diverse menu, but everything we ordered was very tasty. Definitely will go back!

Bought a Groupon voucher $10 for $25 from Sunday - Thursday for this place. The significant other and I made reservations for 5pm on a Wednesday (reservation is a required as stated in the Groupon but turns out it wasn't necessary). It wasn't busy when we first entered the place but as our dinner progressed we did see quite a bit of people coming in. Service was excellent! The girl who greeted us and showed us to our seats was very cheerful and friendly and our waitress came by to check on us often enough to make sure everything was alright and that we had everything we needed. For drinks, we ordered strawberry italian soda and root beer float (wasn't great but it wasn't terrible either, nothing special). Their menu includes a section of "All Day Happy Hour," we took advantage of that and ordered calamari and garlic butter fries. Calamari was average but I absolutely loved the garlic butter fries! And the ranch dipping sauce is amazingly delicious! Highly recommended. As for our entree, we got 8oz flat iron steak (medium) which came with extra sides. We selected salad with ranch dressing and garlic mashed potatoes with vegetables. Steak was good, juicy and tender. Additionally, we also ordered the restaurant's Special of the Day which was the chicken Alfredo parmesan pasta, pretty good. The chicken was interesting, something I haven't had before but it was good. I'm a fan of this place! Plan on taking my mom to this place the next chance I get, noticed some items on the menu that she would particularly enjoy.

Yumm. We got a groupon deal,a $25. dinner for $10. Lets see, I tried the garlic fries, the bacon wrapped prawns and fish tacos. My husband got New York steak strip. As we waited for really only a few mins the waiter apologized and told us out ticket slipped... (whatever that meant) but offered us bowls of the chowder. Heck yes, ....wow, it was sooooo good. We got out dinner shortly after and everything was very flavorful and fresh. Great food, great service fast and fresh... what more can we have asked for? Love getting a great deal. Doesn't seem to happen often enough.... Enjoy!

Very good food, and there are lots of options if you like spicy food. The vegetable pasta was loaded with good quality veggies and not too much pasta. A nice change from typical restaurant food that has way too much cheap starch.

Huh. Not open until 3pm during the week, easy to miss, and the decor doesn't seem to have a theme. Did I mention the food? Carl's Junior can do most things better. To be honest, this place is more or less one and a half stars. Hang on, let me explain. First off, I can sort of understand why the hours are so wonky. Most people don't go to a place like this for breakfast (except the weekend, when it opens earlier) during the week, and I can vouch for most people in saying that I don't get super hungry until about 3pm anyways. Secondly, who decided on the signage out front? While it's physically there, it's actually pretty easy to miss the place while on the road. I passed it twice before realizing that I missed it, after actually paying attention. Also, the location isn't actually great either. It's right next to a defunct gas station, so I really don't pay attention to that city block. Thirdly, the food was less than stellar. After hearing such good things about it from fellow peers, I had my bar set relatively high. Well, it ought to be, considering that most things cost between $13-$17. I ordered the fist and chips, with a side salad. The 'homemade' dressing was a letdown. The salad was bland. And, to top it all off, the service was slow. There were only eight people at the time I was there. The staff seemed disorganized. Was it worth it? Absolutely not. The fish, while being freshly cooked, was bland and tasted like it was previously frozen. No flavor at all. The fries, while being toted as being "freshly battered", were also bland, even after salting them and a lot of ketchup. McDonalds does better fries, Carl's Junior does better Fish. Finally, the decor. Mixed. I can't for the life of me figure out what the theme is. Some say Tiki, I say muddled together at the last minute. Yeesh. I'm no interior designer, but I think I can figure out a solid theme to stick with. Long story short? I can't really recommend this place to people who are picky about things in general, much like myself. I've had pretty good Fish and Chips elsewhere. The menu is a little confusing in that I couldn't figure out what the theme was. They serve pizza, steak, spaghetti .... what? I'm sorry, but when I hear "South Pacific", I think tropical. Not a mishmash of crap that some new owner can't decide on.

Simply AMAZING! Best food I've had period in over 10 years. Head chef Nick has an amazing menu. The steak was so tender it melted in your mouth. The salmon was the same. Very clean everywhere even the bathrooms. Oh...and don't forget the amazing deserts like the bacon sundae and the chocolate peanut butter pie. Our new favorite place.

Went to dinner last night with the wife and 2 kids (5 and 2 y/o). The menu is huge! My wife and I both shared our meals, we got the bacon blue cheese burger and the SXSW pizza. The burger was good but the bun left much to be desired. The bun looked like the Safeway Select brand of buns on a nice burger. The SXSW pizza was good and highly recommended to order here. The personal pizza was around $10 while the burger with fries (fries are average) was around $13. The pizza is the better deal in my opinion, much more bang for the buck. The food was good but could have been better with a real bun, not some cheap azz bun that fell apart when we were eating the burger. The kids had the chicken strips and fries, about $6, looked like frozen chicken strips put into the deep fryer, just what I would suspect for the kids menu. I was not a fan of the atmosphere and the arraignment of the restaurant. The restaurant side seems to be completely separated from the bar area, you couldn't even see the bar from where we sat. This may be a good thing in some instances, but it seemed like those not in the bar were kind of put off to the side. When our waiter seated us, he told us about the drink specials (a whiskey sour and some sort of lager beer I had never heard of). I asked if they had any pale ale's or IPA' and he told me that the special was an IPA. I asked again what it was called and it was something or other lager. Obviously, the waiter had no idea about beer as ale's and lager's are different, which you would think he would since the restaurant seems to cater more towards the bar area rather than the restaurant area. The waiter was fairly attentive, he came by often but not too much to bug us. Prices were average. My wife liked the food enough to go back, I on the other hand was not as impressed. We live in Vancouver and I will not be driving back to Battle Ground to eat here, we may again if we happen to be in the area. The kids got to keep their Frisbees which were the plates used, they liked that. They also got a toy on the way out and the restaurant had coloring crayons. The waiter brought water for the kids and put the pink straw in front of my son and the yellow in front of my daughter. My son was not pleased, so we switched them up. Obviously the waiter does not have kids ;-)

2.5. Menu is not really indicative of south pacific cuisine. More like happy hour meets old spaghetti factory. The food was OK. It looked fresh and tasted pretty good. The beer selection was great... if you drink IPA (not me). Atmosphere... not a date night restaurant.

the restaurant was crazy hot! no a/c.. the waitress (in the bar) was incredibly rude. it was not busy and we received terrible service from her. the food was pretty good, nachos super spicy, steak strips delicious! decent price, but only due to groupons. won't be going back..

This is the third time we have visited this restaurant and are still impressed. We brought two other couples this time and everyone ordered something different and all were very happy with their meals. The drinks ordered were very good and a good amount of alcolol. Not watered down. It was my husband's birthday and he was given a dessert awith rum and bananas which he loved and almost licked his plate. The server was very attentive and knowledgeable. Food came out in a reasonable amount of time and all orders were correct. We will definitely be back when we are in the Battle Ground area.

We used a Yelp deal to grab a bite to eat. My wife had the Thai Pasta with chicken and I had the Tiger Flatiron steak with fries. We both had a mico brew on tap. The food was good. My flatiron was thicker than I would consider it should/would normally be and there was a bit of chewiness. Prices were reasonable. The restaurant was very busy with small and large groups. The staff was attentive and friendly.

Want back I'd say this is our fifth trip maybe 6th ...there a hopping place everything has been amazing food wise there's a few flaws in the staff or just being super busy but here and there they might forget something.. And I have sent food back before as I never ever ever send food back just my opinion but the took it back and brought me something 110x better they always go above and beyond to make it right ....we have no patience and are some of the worst critics ever they still get our vote and we will continue to return...we bring friends every chance we get ....coconut prawns in ras sauce !and pulled pork BBQ sandwich with slaw that has mandarins and pineapple chunks aaaamaaazing! Tell you're friends and family this is a smaller but worth every penny and happy hour mixed drinks only 3.50

Dinner here last night. Was not impressed at all. Service was marginal at best. The waiter forgot many things repeatedly and really did not express any remorse. Although the food portions were more than adequate, the preparation left a lot to be desired. All three of the meals ordered by my family contained beef of various varieties that were burned! The taste of charcoal did not sit well on the palate. My strip steak that I ordered medium rare was medium well and our friend's salmon was very overdone. These are all very basic errors on very basic dishes. We will not be returning in the future.
